The psychotherapist position functions traditionally in completing comprehensive diagnostic assessments, individual treatment plans, individual/family/group therapy, discharge planning, client care coordination, and are part of multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings. At Healthy Minds we challenge the professional hierarchy by putting the trained, licensed professional with the most rapport and knowledge of clients’ symptoms, family dynamics, and psychosocial needs in charge of the clients treatment and care: the psychotherapist. Through rapport building, diagnostic interviewing, and family case conceptualization, this person determines the pace, focus, and coordination of treatment. We focus on trauma-informed, family systems, and multi-systemic therapy. Hopefully these sound up your alley because this is basically the rest of your job.
