As we are quickly approaching seasonal change, we’re also looking at a post-covid world full of unique challenges and opportunities. The only certainty is uncertainty. As vital servants to society, social workers have the unique skill-sets to help others navigate changing environments. Social work, as a strengths-based profession, puts the abilities of the individual and their inner-power to overcome above all else. That perspective combined with social worker education, experience, and training amply prepare us to help others in a volatile environment.

Rural/Frontier Social Work Committee: NASW-NV. Rural Task Force is actively seeking additional members! The task force was formed in early 2020 with a mission to engage social work professionals that are living or working in the rural areas of the state in order to identify their unique needs, increase chapter support, make recommendations to the NASW Nevada Board, and facilitate communication with colleagues that are in the urban areas as well as our community partners.
